Econyl: what makes these fibres so special?
For us, using innovative fibres is part of what we do. ECONYL® is a particularly smooth and soft fabric made from 100% recycled nylon, which is obtained from old fishing nets, carpets and fabric scraps. Products made from ECONYL® stand out thanks to their distinctive material properties.

What is ECONYL®?
ECONYL® is recycled nylon that was launched in 2011 by the Italian company. ECONYL® is made using waste such as fishing nets, old carpets and fabric scraps. Fishing nets have been made from synthetic materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene and nylon (polyamide) since the 1960s. When lost, they can remain on the seabed for a long time and contribute to plastic pollution in the oceans. The collected waste used to produce ECONYL® is converted back into nylon using an innovative regeneration process (ECONYL® depolymerisation).
Properties of ECONYL®
ECONYL® fibres can be recycled multiple times. The material properties of ECONYL® regenerated nylon are comparable to those of conventional nylon. Our tip: Since ECONYL® fibres have quick-drying properties, ECONYL® styles are ideal for your next holiday or trip.
