Linen: The perfect choice for style and comfort!
Linen is one of the best-known and oldest natural fibres in the world. Once used for bed and table linen, it is now also used for clothing production. It is obtained from the flax plant, which has been used for textiles for decades. The flax plant requires very little water and can also be grown in European climates, therefore keeping transport routes comparatively short and reducing its environmental footprint.
Flax fibres are naturally ultra-fine, making manufactured linen fibre extremely smooth and comfortable against the skin. When processed to a high standard, linen is very durable and dirt-repellent. Here are some of its stand-out qualities:
Robust and long-lasting
Cooling and breathable
Fast drying
Antibacterial – suitable for those with allergies
Light sheen for an elegant look
As a rule, linen clothing is easy to care for and can be washed in the washing machine. We recommend washing your linen at 30–40°C. It’s best to leave your clothing to air-dry afterwards. When ironing, use the ‘linen’ setting. If your iron doesn’t have this setting, make sure that you iron on a low heat and, if possible, use the steam function.
Linen is perfect for bed textiles, whether it’s your mattress, bedding or even your sleepwear. Its temperature-regulating properties ensure a comfortable, cool night’s sleep during the summer months. The natural fibre helps to create a balanced sleep environment and can absorb moisture, therefore improving your sleep cycle.
